Battlefield Leadership is a leadership consulting and training company specializing in providing customized experiential leadership training based in history. Showcasing leadership lessons from history provides a dynamic platform from which to explore, discuss and highlight key leadership topics and issues. Participants in our programs relive first-hand the decisions and actions of notable leaders and the effect of these decisions – many of which shaped the subsequent course of history, or societies, countries and the world at large. Understanding the principles in which these behaviors and practices are based, and how they reflect the character and reasoning of the subject leaders, the resultant lessons are then translated into relevant leadership concepts and practices which can be applied by today’s business leaders to the challenges they face.
Our programs have been developed and honed through the expertise and experiences of founding partners Colonel Cole C. Kingseed and Richard E. Thomas, a former Army Intelligence specialist, corporate executive, and organizational effectiveness consultant. Cole and Rich bring many years of experience in active military duty, military history, corporate management and leadership, and organizational development/organizational effectiveness consulting. Combined, they have developed and delivered more than 500 battlefield and classroom leadership training sessions to thousands of executives and managers at all levels from across industry sectors and all types of companies.
With this unique depth and breadth of expertise and experience, our programs can be specifically customized to meet the needs of any organization and its leadership development goals. We offer a full range of continued learning programs, building on the original experience, that can provide an even richer, longer-lasting value for those clients who view leadership training as a critical, ongoing developmental process.
In addition to our two-to-four day onsite experiential battlefield-based leadership training programs, we also offer one- and two-day experiential classroom programs. Presented in a framework fully consistent with the content and delivery of our battlefield programs, the classroom format can be a cost-effective way to introduce or extend leadership training programs to a larger group of leaders and managers at a fraction of the cost of onsite battlefield programs, and can be conducted at a location of a client's choosing.
